افزایش در آمد های نفتی به هوگو چاوز رییس جمهور این کشور اجازه داده است تا برای احداث مسکن بیشتر در ونزوئلا هزینه بیشتری کند . انتخابات ریاست جمهوری ونزوئلا قرار است امسال برگزار شود .

بر اساس این گزارش جورج جیوردانی وزیر دارایی ونزوئلا تاکید کرد رشد اقتصادی این کشور در سه ماه نخست امسال نسبت به مدت مشابه سال قبل به بیش از 5.6 درصد رسیده است . کارشناسان اقتصادی پیش از این رشد اقتصادی 4.1 درصدی را برای این کشور پیش بینی کرده بودند . بر این اساس افزایش رشد اقتصادی ونزوئلا از سه ماه دوم 2008 بی سابقه بوده است .

چاوز قصد دارد برای پیروزی در انتخابات ریاست جمهوری ، شعار کاهش فقر و تامین مسکن برای اقشار ضعیف و آسیب پذیر را مطرح کند . رشد بخش مسکن ونزوئلا در سه ماه نخست امسال به بیش از 29.6 درصد رسیده است . وزیر دارایی ونزوئلا افزود اقتصاد این کشور در هجده ماه گذشته با رکود روبرو شده است ولی هم اکنون بار دیگر به رشد و رونق رسیده ایم . بحران مالی نظام سرمایه داری تاثیر منفی زیادی بر رشد اقتصادی ونزوئلا داشته است .
